Today, despite being fine yesterday, Monkey died. Poor little guy was OK and just went to the vets for his teeth to be cut. While there he had a dose of anti inflammatory for something else. Shortly after getting home I thought he was dead. After holding him for a little while he started breathing again and after about an hour of me keeping him warm in my hands (hamsters aren't so good at keeping warm when ill) he started moving about. Looked promising until all of a sudden he took a turn for the worse. I suspect he either had too much anti inflammatory or it triggered something else. Either way, the little fellow never made it, despite being so close.

Monkey was a very cool little guy and always trying to get attention. He also spent a lot of time upside down, either climbing or lying on his back like a stranded tortoise.

This, therefore is probably the best way to remember him
